Wilma Paulina Ochoa, a 75-year resident of California and a 42-year resident of Landers, died on Dec. 4, 2011 at home at the age of 95. She was born to William Wollesen and Dena Smith on Jan. 14, 1916 in Chadron, Neb. She was a beauty salon owner and a beautician for 65 years before retiring. She was a member of the Landers Quilt Club, the Garden Club, a life member of Glendale Moose and volunteered in many community activites. She is survived by her sister, Faye Portello of Montebello, niece Bonnie Trezona of Landers and by any nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews living locally and out of state.
