"Bill" was born March 2, 1943 in St Louis, Missouri and passed away October 31, 2018 in Shafter, California of natural causes. Bill married Shafter High graduate Grace Froese on December 12, 1969 and they lived in Shafter together until she died of cancer in 2013. Bill retired from the oil business after 30 years with Getty and Texaco at the refinery on Rosedale Highway. Bill is survived by his sisters Carol, husband Howard and Janet husband Mark. Other survivors are his son, John and wife Jessica and their children Julia and James; daughter Mary and her husband Loreto and their children Lenea, husband Elias, and Vincente. Bill was a committed and loving husband, father, grandfather, and neighbor who will be missed by all those who knew him. Bill will always be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help those in need. Donations may be made to the Mennonite Brethren Church Youth Missions general fund, 400 Kern Street, Shafter, CA 93263. A memorial service will be held at Shafter Mennonite Brethren Church on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2pm.
