IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Earl
'Bill' Burt
October 20, 1933 – March 3, 2014
Graveside service will be held Friday, March 7th at 2:00 pm at Shafter Cemetery. On Mar. 3, we lost our loving father. Dad was born Oct. 20, 1933 in Ventura, Ca. to Dick and Hilda Burt. After graduating from B.H.S. he started his college education at Cal Poly which was interrupted by being drafted into the army. Bill lived in Bakersfield all of his life. He worked as a mechanic, for Oilfield Services, L.W. Potter as A.S. MASON for 50+ years. His love for animals started with 4-H projects and Back County Horseman and going on many mule trips to Death Valley with "Corral 14" Wagon Train. Love for his family involved rodeos with his daughters and mechanics with his sons. He is survived by his companion of 20 years, Irene Sylvester; his two daughters Caren (Steve) & Dawn (Gene); two sons, Earl (Sandy) sisters Shirley Powell and Bonnie Hargis and 8 grandchildren.
