behind many heartbroken family and friends, but we are comforted by the knowledge that Wes was finally able to join his brother, Jerry, in Heaven. Wes was born on May 4, 1962 in Wasco, California. He grew up with his brothers on a farm in Shafter and graduated from Shafter High School in 1980. After high school, Wes spent several years traveling around California and Oregon working on ski lifts and chasing the snow. Later in life, Wes worked as a construction manager for several firms in California before eventually settling in as a construction manager in Lost Hills for Chevron. Wes was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Alana Kelley; son, Sonny Kelley; daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Brian Cosgrove; grandson, Reece Cosgrove; parents, Harold and Katherine Kelley; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Joy Kelley; mother-in-law, Barbara Francies and many other extended family, friends, and co-workers. There will be a public viewing at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter on Thursday, July 9 from 5-8pm. A graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Shafter Cemetery. The service will be immediately followed by a reception at Free Will Baptist Church in Shafter.
