Welda Jean Brown was born in May of 1936 in Sturgis, Kentucky, where she was number 4 of 16 siblings—a large family that shaped her strong spirit.
Throughout her life, Welda embraced the world with grace and resilience. As an Army wife to her beloved late husband, Walter Waylen Brown, she traveled the globe, faithfully supporting his military career while raising their children with strength and love. In 1962, the family settled in San Jose, California, where Walter completed his military service and retired.
In 1994, Welda moved to Wasco, California, to be closer to her family. There, she continued to share her warmth, wisdom, and unshakable devotion to those she loved. Her presence was a constant source of comfort, laughter, and guidance.
Welda is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean Cabello & her husband Fred Cabello. Her son, Steven Ray Brown. Grandchildren: Christina Pacheco, Kevin Cabello, Shanna Torres, Kyle Brown, Tracy Brown. Great-Grandchildren: Samantha Patterson, Aric Marhx, Tateanna Marhx, Alex Martinez Jr., Breanna Martinez, Luke Torres, Kevin Cabello Jr., Isaiah Cabello, Zoey Cabello, Adem Cabello, Chelsea Cabello and Dylan Cabello and great-Great grandchildren. She is reunited in eternal peace with her son, Samuel David Brown, and her devoted husband, Walter.
Welda Jean Brown will be remembered for her unwavering love, her deep family roots, and her quiet strength. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
