Mom was born November 25, 1928 in Estelline, Texas to Ralph (Tim) and Aylene Moore, and passed away August 18, 2018 from Alzheimer's. She and her family moved to Torrance, CA at a young age where she attended the local schools and graduated from Torrance High School. She enjoyed playing softball, swimming, was an accomplished golfer, playing bridge, and decorating the homes of several friends. She loved the ocean and spent much of her time on Catalina Island with her friends and family. Mom enjoyed a long and wonderful life and met many new friends along the way during her and Dad's travels. She lived in Angola, Africa, Malta, Houma, LA, Texas, Torrance, returning to Bakersfield to enjoy time with her grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert Dale Stewart, parents Ralph "Tim" and Aylene Moore, brother Monty Moore, sisters-in-law, Margie Moore and Betty Larson, brother in law, Alfred "Red" Larson, and nephew, Don Larson. Survived by son Tim Stewart (Jonda), grandchildren, Shannon Blunt (Darin) and Robert Stewart (Danielle), great-grandchildren, Kendall and Mallory Blunt and Brandt and Ethan Stewart, nephews, Robert Larson, Charles Moore and Larry Moore. Her final years were spent in Shafter where she was taken care of by the wonderful caregivers at Carrington of Shafter and Hoffman Hospice. Interment will be next to dad at the Bakersfield National Cemetery, Arvin, CA, at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Mom's name to Hoffman Hospice.
