Wanda Ringer was born December 21, 1922 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, one of six children born to William and Carrie (Sullivan) Scoggin. The family moved to Wasco when Wanda was a child and she graduated from Wasco High School. Wanda was previously married to Bert Pitts and Dee Guy Casey and later married Bryant Ringer July 10, 1964. Bryant and Wanda owned and operated the Mr. & Mrs. Club until their retirement in 1990. Bryant and Wanda enjoyed playing cards during their spare time. Wanda loved being outside in the yard working in the garden. She will also be remembered as being a caregiver to many. Bryant preceded Wanda in death August 20, 2004; she was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Wanda is survived by her sons, Rick Pitts and wife Shirley of Bakersfield, Terry Pitts and wife Dianna of Bakersfield; Cheryl Hosman and husband David of Shafter; 7 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 9 at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park for Wanda Ringer, age 88, who passed away July 6, 2011 in Shafter. A visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco on Friday, July 8, from 5pm to 8pm.
