Wanda was born January 15, 1951 in Bakersfield, Ca. she passed away July 4, 2015 in Bakersfield, Ca. Wanda was raised in Wasco and lived there for most of her life. She is preceded in death by her father, William Colbert; mother, Thelma Colbert; sister, Martha Colbert and two brothers, Jimmy and David Colbert. She is survived by her brothers Joe Colbert and Tom Colbert, her two daughters, Holly Sheffield and Hannah Patty; three sons, Jeremiah and Christopher Robinson; Nick Garza; her nephew Brian Sheffield that held a special place in her heart, and her four grandchildren Sara, Bethany, Sophia and Anthony. Wanda did foster care for 19 years and took in over 500 children during that time, she was so giving and caring she loved every child that came in her home and cried every time one left. She always said I will miss them but there is another one out there that needs love. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Visitation was held on Friday, July 10, 2015, from 2-8pm at Peters Funeral Home Wasco and A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:30am at Christ Community Church. Pastor Pat Wayne Montgomery officiated.
