Obituary

Wanda Mae Hobbs passed away quietly in her home surrounded by her loving children on Sunday, February 13, 2011; born in Stella, Nebraska to Oma Fern (Farmer) and Elmer Clarence Booth. She met and married the Late Harold Hobbs and was a wonderful housewife, nurturing mother and loving grandmother who made the best family meals. Wanda was the family genealogist, keeping up with all the members of her family; enjoyed reading western novels, watching western movies, a member of the Moose Lodge #2178. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Harold Hobbs, brother William Booth and survived by son William Bishop; Stepson Ron Hobbs; daughters Sharon Ballinger, Katherine Albert and Elsie Clarke; sister-in-law Lavone Booth; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and loving extended family members. In keeping with Wanda's wishes, there will be no services for Wanda Mae Hobbs, age 84, of Bakersfield. Mother you gave me memories to treasure made our house a home in fullest measure. You taught me faith and love, without end, you were my mother but also my friend.
