Mr. Walter Highsmith March 24, 1910 – January 5, 2009 Walter L. Highsmith of Arvin passed away on January 5, 2009 at the age of 98. Walter had worked for Western Electric for many years installing communication systems for businesses and served in the U.S. Army. Walter was preceded in death by his wife Ann (Drohan) Highsmith. He is survived by his nieces Chenena Vietti of Arvin and Dorothy Ellis of Tulsa, OK.. Nephews; Larry Ellis of Rogers, Arkansas and Jim Ellis of Oklahoma. a private family service will be held at the Arvin cemetery under the direction of The Arvin Funeral Home.
