Obituary

Vivian was born on October 19, 1920, in Fresno CA as one of 13 children. She passed away on April 17, 2007, in Bakersfield, CA at the age of 86. She was buried at Union Cemetery next to her beloved husband, Fraser, who preceded her in death 1985. She was very active in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Altar Society, The American Red Cross, League of Women Voters, The Longfellow, Washington and Bakersfield High School PTA's, and Club Scouts. Traveling to Alaska, Mexico and many other interesting sites with Fraser and their longtime friends in the Terrapin Trailer Club was a great joy to her and she had wonderful memories of their adventures. She always enjoyed and took a very active role in local Democratic politics. She was awarded the prestigious Dorothy Donahoe Award for her work supporting local Democratic causes. She is survived by her four children and their families: Bob & Pat Westerfield, Ellen & Tad Williamson, Susan & Gene Rogers, and Fraser & CeCe Westerfield. She has 12 wonderful grandchildren and 15 very special great grandchildren. She is also survived by her younger brother Bill Clayton of Palo Alto, CA and many, many loving nieces and nephews. All of the family would like to send special thanks to the excellent staff at Glenwood Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility and Hoffman Hospice for the Kindness and care she received in her time with them.
