Virginia Lee Weishaar was born May 18, 1918 in Oklahoma. She passed away October 19, 2014 in Shafter, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra Hinze and Emma (Spady) Hinze. Virginia was raised in Shafter and attended Kern Junior Academy. She started nursing school at the age of 40, and was a graduate of the first graduating class of nursing offered at Bakersfield College. Virginia was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church of Shafter. She leaves behind a son, Wallace (Wally) Weishaar, daughter, Karen Welch and daughter, Ilona Wieshaar. 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild (on the way) Visitation is Monday, October 27, 2014 from 9-10:30am at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter. Graveside Service is Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11am at Shafter Memorial Park.
