Virginia Armenta Arismendez was born to Senevio Menendez Armenta and Christine Uribe Solis on May 30, 1930 in Costa Mesa CA. and passed away on May 26, 2024 in Shafter, CA. The Armenta Family migrated to Shafter, CA. in 1948. Virginia met and married Catarino Lopez Arismendez son of Catarino Lopez Arismendez Sr. and Maria Lopez Arismendez from Del Rio Texas. Together, Catarino and Virginia had 11 children: Robert, Gloria, Anita, Victor, Albert, Irma, Lynn, Phillip, Eddie, Lupe, and Nancy. The family resided in the Mexican Colony where their 11 children multiplied into Virginia now having 111 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. Visitation and Recitation of the Rosary was held Monday, June 3, 2024 at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, California. Mass of the Resurrection Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Therese Parish in Shafter, CA. Internment immediately following at 11 AM at Shafter Memorial Park. Pallbearers are James Kates, Nathan Kates, Elias Arismendez, Robert Arismendez, Javier Marquez, Anthony Marquez, Paul Arismendez, Johnny Jones, David Cordero, Arnold Barrera, Eli Martinez, and Fabian Lopez.
