Victor Garay Ramos was born on December 23, 1946 in Elsa, Texas. He is the sixth child of the twelve, born to Pedro Ramos and Juanita Garay. Victor met and married the love of his life; Celia "Sally" Moreno. They were married on March 4, 1964 and they celebrated their forty fifth wedding anniversary one month and two days before Victor was greeted by his loving Savior in heaven. Victor and Sally have four children, Vilma Ramos Medina, Victor Ramos JR., Ida Ramos Kitchens and Richard Ramos. Victor was a hard worker and loved by all his employers. He worked for Colvard's Home Furnishings, Ranchers Cotton Oil and for the County of Kern Mosquito Abatement. But Victor's fame came from being a family man! He was not only a loving husband and father; he was a hand's on Grandpa and Uncle! He did not miss a game, wrestling match, or anything his family was involved in! He was known to always have a joke to cheer up anyone who walked in the door, and anyone was welcome in his and Sally's home. After a long battle of illness Victor passed away with his whole family at his side on April 6, 2009. He is survived by his wife and soul Mate Celia of Shafter, his daughter, Vilma and Carlos Alverez, of Ontario, California, son Victor and wife Melissa Ramos of Bakersfield, Ida and husband Brandon Kitchens, of Bakersfield and son Richard Ramos and wife Bree of Shafter. His mother Juanita, of Texas and eleven brothers' and sister's all of Texas and Chicago, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Shafter Memorial Park on Friday the tenth of April at 10:00 am. Viewing will be at Peter's Funeral Home in Shafter on Thursday the 9th of April from 4:00-8:00 p.m. I will always love you from the land up above. We'll touch again soon. P.S. God sends His love!
