Victor O. Garcia was born January 1, 1925 in Kansas to Maria (Ordaz) and Jose Garcia. Upon returning he spent most of his years working in the agriculture industry as a laborer, then started working for Larry's Body Shop in Wasco where he learned the body and fender trade. Victor enjoyed fishing, every opportunity he had; he'd be searching for the perfect fishing spot, did some small game hunting and when at home, had the television tuned to boxing. Victor was a quiet person who enjoyed sharing what he had. He was born with a big heart and leaves us behind filled with grief, but fortunate to have spent time with this very generous man. Victor O. Garcia was preceded in death by his wife, Lilian (Kraft); brothers Danny, Raymond and Gabriel Mendez; sister Candelaria Garcia Ruiz. Surviving family includes his sons Victor Garcia Jr. and Joseph Charles Garcia; brothers Pete Mendez and wife Hope, Joe Mendez and wife Carmen, Jessie Mendez and wife Helen, Louis Mendez; sisters Alice M. Quiarte and husband Arturo, Angie Rodriguez and husband Chris, Irene Mendez, many nieces and nephews; good friends and long time acquaintances. Visitation will be held for Victor O. Garcia, age 85, of Wasco, on Sunday September 26, 2010, from 2-5pm at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco.
