IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vicky Dean
Sutton
November 13, 1948 – June 20, 2008
Vicki Dean Sutton was born November 13, 1948 in Bakersfield, California to J.B. and JoAnn (Davis) Willingham. She attended North High School in Bakersfield and transferred to Wasco High School to be near her boyfriend, James Sutton. She and James were married January 21, 1966 in Wasco where they made their home. Vicki worked as a teacher's aid for 8 years at Palm Avenue School. Then Vicki and James bought the Rexius Photography Studio which they owned for 15 years. The last 7 years, she was back with the Wasco Elementary School District working as a bus driver. The sunflower was Vicki's favorite flower and it also represented her life. She was always smiling, a caregiver to her children, grandchildren, all her animals and a mom to many. Vicki loved to do makeovers for all the girls coming in the studio for senior pictures, giving them great hair and confidence. Vicki is survived by her husband of 42 years, James Sutton of Wasco; daughters, Jamie Dunlap and husband Jeff of Wasco, Jana Lowe and husband Danny of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Wright; brothers, Roger Willingham of San Luis Obispo and James Willingham and wife Pam of Bakersfield; sister, Carla Hardin of Shelbyville, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Donna Willingham of Bakersfield; step-mom, Jennie Willingham of Bakersfield; and special family friend, Regina Criner. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Willingham. A celebration of life was held Monday, June 23, at Westside Family Fellowship for Vicki Dean Sutton, age 59, of Wasco who passed away June 20, 2008 in Bakersfield. Pastors John Ross and Terry Ruddell officiated the service and interment was private at Wasco Memorial Park.
