Vernon Ray Gibson of Wasco, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on August 5, 2021, at the age of 74. Vernon was born on March 17, 1947, to Ray and Elizabeth Gibson in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Elizabeth Gibson, brother George Gibson, brother Baby Gibson, brother-in-law Pete Reaves, and granddaughter Emalee Gibson. He is survived by his sister Patsy Reaves, sister-in-law Christine Gibson, ex-wife Nita Gibson, four sons Timothy and wife Cara, Randy, and ex-wife Lecretia, Ray and wife Stephanie, Ron, and wife Ashley, as well as six grandchildren, Justin Gibson, Noah Ray, Ciara Ray, Elizabeth Gibson, Sarah Gibson, and Megan Gibson. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 2:00pm at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco, California
