Tomasa "Tome" was born on December 19, 1936, to Eustino Tarango and Tomasa Ornelas Tarango in Candelaria, Texas. Tomasa was very proud of her Tarango heritage and of her birthplace, Candelaria. She also loved her little town of Eloy, Arizona where she met and married Federico Alarcon in 1957. Tomasa was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She had a quick wit and a loving heart. Tomasa loved to entertain her nieces and nephew and had a spark like no other. She was the last of her siblings and was a mother to all the nieces and nephews of her siblings. She was very creative and loved crafting, she taught her daughters how to sew, embroider, crochet, even refinish furniture. In later life she created beautiful, beaded bracelets, rings and very dear to her heart, Rosaries. She was a devout and faithful Catholic and attended Mass every morning at St. Therese's Church. She loved her grandchildren very much and love to make them their special meals, whether it be Sopas, Tostadas or Arroz con Leche.

She is survived by her daughters Alicia and Eliza; her sons Federico, and wife Norma, Jaime and wife Connie, 11 grandchildren,  and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband Federico; her parents, all of her siblings, and her son-in-law, Guero.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, at St. Therese's Church at 1:30pm , with a Rosary to be held Thursday, February 21, 2025 at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home In Shafter.
