Tomas Guzman Escutia was born September 22, 1951 in Guanajuato, Mexico to J. Carmen and Virginia Escutia. He married Felicita Cardozo March 22, 1986, in Mexico. Tomas also served in the Mexican army. Tomas is survived by his wife, Felicita Escutia; three daughters, Ana Gabriela, Alma, and Clara Escutia; a son, Froylan Escutia; four brothers, Raul, Pedro, Rufino, and Rosendo Escutia; five sisters, Ester, Josefina, Guadalupe, Maricela, and Carmen Escutia; and a grandchild. There will be a wake for Tomas at 432 Combs Ave.,in Arvin, Tuesday, August 28, at noon and will continue to August 29, at 9am. Arvin Funeral Home will conduct a funeral service, Wednesday, August 29, at 10am at St. Thomas Catholic Church for Tomas Guzman Escutia, age, 55, of Arvin who passed away August 23, in Arvin. Father Wilson from St. Thomas Catholic Church will officiate and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District.
