Thomas William Freaney was born January 3, 1950 in Olean, New York to Marjorie Ann (Kramer) and Thomas Edwin Freaney. The family moved to Wasco and Tim attended Wasco elementary schools and graduated from Wasco Union High School with the Class of 1968. He went on to attend Bakersfield College and then UC Berkley where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Micro Biology. Tim supervised quality control for many area businesses including, Kraft Foods, Anheuser-Busch, Bolthouse Farms, Lamont Winery, Monarch Nut and Paramount Farms. Tim married Brenda Kay Howard in 1971 in Wasco and they made their home in Bakersfield. The true love of his life was his grandchildren; he loved to spend time with them. Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Freaney and brother, Brian Freaney. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda Freaney; daughters, Erin Rodriguez & husband Gabriel of Bakersfield and Megin Garrett & husband Daniel of Washington; grandsons, Julian and Adrian; sisters, Deborah Whitaker, Doreen Schonfeld and Kathleen Freaney. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 12 at 2pm at Wasco Memorial Park for Thomas William Freaney, age 63, who passed away January 4, 2013 in Bakersfield.
