Wayne was born in Seymour, Texas to his parents Thomas Leroy Brown and Mini Joy Whiteaker. After migrating to Bakersfield, California in the early 1960's Wayne finished his schooling, resulting in his graduation from West High School in 1969. After high school graduation, Wayne enlisted into the United States Air Force in the Winter of 1970. He spent his entire military carer with the Airborne Fire-fighting unit at Webb Air Force Base, Big Spring, Texas until his Honorable Discharge in 1975. During his service in the USAF he met the love of his life, Alice Faye Nixson, and they married March 27 of 1973 in Big Spring, Texas. Wayne had recently retired from his 35 year career as a Residential Painter prior to his death.
