Born August 8, 1938 in Cardwell, Missouri, Thelma went to join her mother Ruby, father Amzy, brother Burley and sister Joetta in heaven on July 9, 2011. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Bakersfield, Ca. She is survived by ex-husband, William Rodgers; sister Lou Bozarth and husband Don; brother Freelyn Hosman and wife Priscilla; son Bill Rodgers and wife Rena; son Joel Rodgers and girlfriend Tessa; son Jon Rodgers and wife Karen. She is also survived 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In 1954 Thelma and William were married, and then traveled the country and raised their sons while William served in U.S. Air Force. Thelma, lovingly nicknamed "Hammer", was an avid NASCAR fan reader, and she also enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. With many fond memories she will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Services will be held at Christ Community Church in Wasco, Ca on July 14, 2011 at 10:00 am. Thelma will then be laid to rest at Wasco Cemetery.
