Tessie McCormick, longtime resident of San Leandro, California, died February 25, 2008 in Salinas, California, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her father, James Franklin Baggs, her mother, Dora Mae Baggs, her brother, I. Wesley Baggs, her sister, Anna Rogers, and her husband, J. Orman McCormick. Graveside services under the direction of Peters Funeral Home will be held Friday, February 29, at 1 pm at the Wasco Cemetery. Tessie was born in Kinta, Oklahoma on October 27, 1920. She lived in Wasco for many years but moved to San Leandro shortly after she married Orman. She was a dedicated homemaker, a wonderful cook, and seamstress. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and in-laws.
