Terri M. Sturgill, a 22-year resident of California, died July 6, 2015, in her home. She was 56 years old. The daughter of Wallace McDonald and Edith McDonald, she was born Oct. 23, 1958, in Alexandria, Virginia. She had lived in Twentynine Palms, and most recently was a 12-year resident of Yucca Valley. Mrs. Sturgill was a registered nurse at Desert Regional Medical Center for 35 years. An active member of the Emergency Nurses Association, she graduated with a master's degree in nursing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Debbie Russ. She is survived by her husband, Rick Sturgill, of Yucca Valley, daughter Corinne Roberts, of Joshua Tree, son David Sturgill, of San Bernardino, brother Roy McDonald, of Pennsylvania, and one grandchild. A viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m. July 16 at Wiefels and Son in Yucca Valley. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. July 17 at Wiefels and Son with Chaplain Roger, from Desert Regional Medical Center, officiating. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery.
