Obituary

Teresa was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She was the third daughter born to Nick & Andrea Velasquez. Older sisters Frances and Jenny, younger sisters Sally, Marion, Clara, Toni, Margret and her baby brother Nicky. Every single one of her siblings held a special place in her heart. She moved to Kern County in 1965 with her husband and love of her life, Arthur Rodriquez. They settled in Shafter with their three kids Albert Mena, Esther Carrasco, Sylvia Rodriguez and soon Arthur Rodriquez Jr and baby Christina Hernandez followed. Terri was a hard-working women but more importantly she had the ability to make everyone feel special and loved unconditionally. She had a special bond with everyone she loved and everyone who loved her. She was blessed with 12 grandkids and 17 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Rodriquez, her sons, Albert Mena Jr and Arthur "Arty" Rodriquez Jr and her daughter Sylvia Rodriquez. She is succeeded by her daughters Esther Carrasco and Christina Hernandez. In her 81 years, the love Terri gave was priceless and she will always be missed. Her love for singing, her love for her family and always seeing the glass half full no matter what the circumstances was inspiring. She had an unwavering belief in God. Teresa "Terri" Rodriquez was in a league of her own. Her legacy is one of a great warrior and her class, elegance, poise and strength inspired everyone who knew her to be a better person. She will be greatly missed.
