Teresa E. Ellison, a native of Dallas, Texas, a 40-year resident of California and a 30-year resident of Twentynine Palms, died Oct. 12, 2008, at home in Twentynine Palms due to complications of lung cancer and severe emphysema. She was 70 years old. The daughter of June Marvel Leach and Teddy Carl Leach, she was born March 6, 1938. Mrs. Ellison was a homemaker and a mother of eight children whom she supported on her own. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, son and granddaughter. She is survived by daughters Lisa Fowles of Twentynine Palms, Teresa Linderman of Phoenix, Ariz., Mary Arias of Hamburg, Pa., and Carla Wisdom of Texas; sons Douglas Ivey, Alex Garule and Steve Mclaughlin all of Twentynine Palms; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
