Obituary

Teobaldo Herrera Oré was born in Huancayo, Perú on November 9, 1952 to Ricardo and Estela Oré. He came to Wasco as a sheep herder at the age of 17 and made it his home. He was known to many as "Baldo" and "El Peruano". He took pride in his roses which he grafted for several rose companies in the area for more than 30 years. He married his wife, Aurora, in 1977 who worked with him side by side in different agricultural jobs. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy spoiling them with ice cream and excessive amounts of sweets. Teobaldo was cherished and loved by his family and will be greatly missed. With his family by his side, he passed away on June 30, 2015 at the age of 62. Teobaldo is survived by his wife Aurora Oré, his three daughters, Jessica Oré Papuico (Fidel Papuico), Olga Oré-Sánchez (Leobardo Sánchez), Marlene Oré-García (Omar García), and son Ricardo Oré; brothers Jesús Oré, Lucio Oré, and sisters Eva Oré Herrera, Lola Churampi Oré, Olga Oré Herrera, and Paulina Oré Herrera. Grandchildren Fidel Papuico, Renzo Papuico, Pamela Papuico, Ixchel Sánchez, Yareli Sánchez, Omar García, Artemio Sánchez, Yelina García, and Oziel García. He is preceded in death by his parents Ricardo and Estela Oré. The visitation was held at Peter's Funeral home Monday, July 6, 2015 from 3-6 pm and followed by the Holy Rosary at St. John's Catholic Church at 6 pm. Mass of a Catholic burial was officiated by Father Antero Sánchez on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 9 am at St. John's Catholic Church. Interment followed at Wasco Memorial Park.
