Graveside services were held Thurs, September 14, at 10am following traditional services at the Shafter Russian Molokan Church for Tanya Nazaroff, age 73, of Wasco who passed away September 10, in Bakersfield. Mrs. Nazaroff was born October 9, 1933 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico to Alex and Tanya Sameran part of the Russian Molokan Colony that later settled in the San Joaquin Valley. She married William Nazaroff and they moved to Earlimart for a short time before making Wasco their home in 1960. Mrs. Nazaroff served her family as a homemaker and wife of a farmer which kept her busy. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mr. Nazaroff was the minister of the Shafter Molokan Church and she also assisted with the church functions. She is survived by her husband, William of Wasco; son, Jack Nazaroff of Wasco: grandchildren, Brian & Julie Tolmachoff, both of Fresno; son-in-law, Jack Tolmachoff of Fresno; sister, Nelly Bukroff of Los Angeles; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Manya Tolmachoff of Fresno in 1998, and three infant children.
