Thurman Sutton was born March 29, 1922 in Alma, Arkansas. He passed away October 14, 2014 in Checotah, Oklahoma. He was a Father, Grandfather and Brother. Thurman was a proud World War II Veteran in the United States Army with the military police. He married Eva Hall in 1941 and had six children, ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Thurman and Eva raised their children in Wasco and lived in the Bakersfield/Wasco area for over 50 years, before retiring to Checotah, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his wife Eva Alice, daughters, Betty Settlemire, Gloria McAfee and Peggy Ryan. He is survived by his son, Charles Sutton, daughter, Bobbie Huffman and son David Sutton and 2 sisters, Vilma Mason and Bobbie Hallmark. Visitation is Monday, October 20, 2014 from 12-8pm at Peters Funeral Home-Wasco Graveside Service is Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park.
