Susan was born November 20, 1962 in Upland, California to Tony Govea and Pauline (Rodriguez) Govea. "Dondi" as she was known, was raised in Corona, California; where she met her husband, Gerardo P. Sanchez. Together they raised their five children in Chino before moving to Kern County in 2004. Dondi had many hobbies, which included sewing, traveling, and singing. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and many casinos. Every trip was a wonderful adventure where she created memories with her family and friends. Dondi loved singing with her children and grandchildren, to which her life was centered around. Family unity was important to Dondi, who was a selfless and caring person. Dondi was 52 years old when she embraced God's arms on March 29, 2015 in Delano, California. She will be missed and will be remembered for the loving person she was. Dondi is survived by her stepdad, Manuel Calderon; son Gerardo Sanchez Jr."Chochi"; daughters Adrianna (Javier) Esparza, Claudia Sanchez (Gustavo Acevedo), Leticia (Raymundo) Sanchez, and Veronica Sanchez (Agustin Camargo); sisters Ana Lizaso, Josie Garro, and Sally Quiroz; grandchildren Jr. Esparza, Jolleen Alissa Esparza, Evelyn Esparza, Tavito Acevedo, Johnathan Acevedo, Fabian Sanchez, German Sanchez, Natalie Marie Camargo, Shelby Luz Camargo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Pauline Govea; Husband, Gerardo P. Sanchez; sister, Julie Aguilar. A mass of a Christian Burial will be officiated by Father Enrique Fierros, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 9am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Delano, California. A visitation will be held April 10, 2015 from 2-8pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, California with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm.
