On July 8, 2008, Socorro Mojica peacefully passed away into the Lord's arms; her family was by her side. As a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, every heartfelt moment shared will be forever treasured by her family and friends. She was a light hearted woman who made everyone smile. Socorro was one of a kind and will always be remembered and loved by everyone. Socorro was born in Glendale, Arizona on December 21, 1929. In 1949, she was married to Gregory Mojica. This past New Year's Day they celebrated 59 loving, memory-filled years together. Socorro enjoyed each and every day of her life. She thoroughly enjoyed being with her family for any occasion. She also enjoyed going to Pismo Beach, Las Vegas, shopping for jewelry, and watching her sons play in their band. Socorro was preceded in death by her brother Frank Medina. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Mojica; her daughter, Vivian and husband Joe Jaime; her son, Greg and wife Maria Mojica; her son, Marty and wife Mary Mojica; her grandchildren, Jason and wife Lisa Barraza, Justin Jaime, Stacy and husband Sergio Pacheco, Lori and husband Donald Steward, Matthew Mojica, and Mitchell Mojica; her great-granddaughter, Ava Steward; in addition, numerous loving relatives. A visitation for Socorro will be held on Sunday July 13, 2008 at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary from 4-8pm. A mass of a Christian burial will be held on Monday July 14, 2008 St. Frances Catholic Church at 10:30am with interment following at Hillcrest Memorial Park
