Simon Gonzalez Luna of Shafter passsed away May 22, 2009 at the age of 80 in Bakersfield. Simon had worked as a farm labor for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife Marcelina, Sons Alfredo, Jesus, Juan, Don and Simon Jr.. Daughter Sonia Luna, Brother Ventura Luna and sisters Emma, Francisca and Antonia Luna. 18 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Therese's Catholic Church with interment at Shafter Memorial Park under the Direction of Peters Funeral Home
