Obituary

Shari Lynn Stout passed away peacefully in her sleep, with her husband by her side, at Pleasanton, California on February 6, 2014. Shari was born in Bakersfield, on March 12, 1961, to Alvin Duncan and Rachel Reynolds. Shari was raised in the Wasco/Shafter area and graduated from Shafter High School in 1979. Following her graduation, Shari joined the United States Air Force and trained and worked as an Architect/Site Developer. While stationed in Zweibrucken, Germany, Shari met Tony Lane Stout, and it was love at first site. A rapid romance ensued and the two were soon married. Shari returned to Wasco a few years later with husband Tony and baby boy Jeffrey in tow, daughter Stacy was born two years later and Shari's family was complete. Shari would live out the rest of her days taking care of her family she loved. Shari love to cook, do cross-word puzzles, and read, especially Agatha Christie novels; and if it was Friday you could find her playing card games or board games with friends and family. Always a dreamer, she collected castles of all types and sizes. Shari Lynn Stout is preceded in death by her father Alvin Duncan, devoted grandfather Roy "Pops" Scroggins, and loving grandmother Letha May Scroggins. Shari is survived by husband Tony; mother, Rachel; step-father, Clarence (missing but we pray alive); and children Jeffrey Lane and Stacy Renee-Kathleen and son-in-law, Michael. A graveside under the direction of Peters Funeral Home will held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park for Shari Lynn Stout, age 52, of Wasco. Pastor Bill Lewis of the Griffith Avenue Baptist Church will officiate and interment will follow.
