Sergio was born on December 4, 1974 in Mexico City and passed away on September 7, 2022 in Shafter, CA. When he was a teenager he worked at Steak N Hoagies right off the coast of Ventura, CA, played football in high school and in college, and enjoyed having the time of his life with his friends. Sergio loved to work for Steak N Hoagies and continued to enjoy making the dishes in his home for his family and friends throughout the years. He graduated from Ventura High School and later on in life he settled in Shafter, CA. Sergio and his wife created a strong and loving family that continues to grow and have the pleasure to carry on the beautiful memories of him for the rest of their lives.

Sergio was an extravagant man, who dedicated his life to his family and work. A man who loved to play poker, billiards, hangout with his family, watch movies and make the best steak and hoagie sandwiches. We all looked forward to our occasional weekend hangouts to be filled with either barbecuing, football games, or UFC fight nights with his 3 pack of bud light beer; but most of all our quality family time. Aside from him being the goofiest man in the room he still ensured his family and friends were well taken care of and made sure we all had smiles on our faces. Sergio accomplished many things in life but the biggest accomplishments were to be the best husband a wife could ask for, the best dad any child would pray for, the best Papi to his grandchildren but most of all a wise, strong, and courageous man.
