IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra Scott
Wedel
January 30, 1934 – May 26, 2007
Sandra "DuPuy" Scott Wedel was born January 30, 1934, in Pasadena, California. She left to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 26, 2007, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She spent her childhood and high school years in Benton, Illinois. Sandra then attended Pomona Claremont College in Pomona, Ca. and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. This is where she met her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Lee Wedel. In 1959, they both moved to Wasco, to farm and raise a family of four children. Sandra was involved in many community clubs, societies and organizations within the Wasco community. These include the Wasco Jr. Women's Club, Women's Club, the Wasco Parks and Recreation Board, and the Wasco Rose Society. She acted as President, Chairwoman and Board Member in several of these organizations. She also received numerous awards and recognition for this participation. In early 1982, her love for flowers encouraged her to pursue a career in the floral business. She soon bought the Showcase and Valley Florist businesses in Wasco. Sandra took great pleasure in these businesses until the early 1990's when she and Kenneth decided to retire. In Sandra's lifetime she enjoyed many friends and activities. She was active in the Congregational Church. She loved bridge, tennis, skiing, fishing and traveling all over the world. Sandra shared her passions with friends and family. Our Mother was always there to take care of our needs. This included countless sports and other activities that we were constantly involved in. When we were growing up, it was like we had a private chauffer. Mother was always energetic, playing ping pong and other games with whatever group of kids happened to be at the house!! She made things look so easy when actually dealing with her husband and children had to be one of the most difficult tasks of all time!!!!!!!! Our love and respect for her is so endearing that it crosses all boundaries. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wedel; mother, Helen Eskew; step-father, Witt Eskew; father, Dallas Scott; grandson, Brandon Wedel; mother-in-law, Ruth Wedel; father-in-law, Chink Wedel; brothers-in-law, Larry and Jay Wedel.
