A funeral service under the direction of Arvin Funeral Home will be held at Vinelife Chapel on Thursday, May 10, at 10am for Sandra Sanchez, of Arvin, who passed away May 7 in Bakersfield. Paula Rains of Vinelife Chapel will officiate the service and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District. A visitation will be held at Arvin Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 9 from 2-8pm. Sandra, 47, was born in Bakersfield, California to Simon and Rosie Sanchez. She was enjoyed the outdoors, music, and Little House on The Prarie. She won a number of prizes for her crafts at the fair. Sandra enjoyed going to church and attend NAPD. She looked forward to Friday lunches with her father and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Sandra is now walking the streets of gold with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Sandra is survived by her father, Simon Sanchez and mother Rosie Sanchez; her brother, Simon Sanchez Jr.; her sisters, Sally and husband Isidro Garza, Phyllis and husband Robert Montalvo, Sylvia and husband Pedro Sanchez; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in life by her grandmothers, Della Arvizu, Fransisca Martinez; a cousin Sammy Benevidez; and three uncles, Richard Arvizu, Walter Arvizu, and David Sagobia.
