Sandra Ruth Colbert

Sandra Ruth Colbert [Ridgeway], known affectionately as Grandma Sandy, passed away on September 16, 2026, in Clovis, California, at the age of 84. She was born on March 28, 1942, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Sandra spent much of her adult life between California and Oklahoma. She devoted much of her life to being a wife and mother, taking great pride in caring for and loving her family. Earlier in her life, she also worked in office administration at a prison for several years.

Sandra married Roger Colbert in April of 1957. They shared a deeply important life together, and Roger was the love of her life. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband in 2009. She loved him dearly, and his memory remained a special part of her heart throughout the years that followed.

Sandra is survived by her three children, Michael, Dennis, and Cynthia. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Sandra loved her family deeply and had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Scruffy. She enjoyed watching game shows and keeping up with the latest gossip, with friends and family. She found joy in the simple moments of everyday life and in the people and animals she loved.

Sandra will be remembered for the love she gave to her family, the life she shared with Roger, and the many memories she leaves behind with those who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 24, at 1:00 p.m. at Wasco Memorial Park in Wasco, California. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember and celebrate Sandra’s life.
