Salvador (Chava) Hernandez, 34, of Arvin, California, surrounded by his loved ones peacefully passed away on September 27, 2013. There will be an evening service/rosary on October 2, 2013. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm at Saint Thomas Church in Arvin, CA. A mass for his service will take place on October 3, 2013 at Saint Thomas Church at 11 am. Burial will follow the funeral at Arvin Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Arvin Funeral Home. Salvador was born in Bakersfield, CA on December 8, 1978. He graduated from Arvin High school and continued on to receive an Associates of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Bakersfield College and an Associates of Science Degree in Business Administration from Santa Barbara Business College. Salvador was married to Lupe Calderon on November 8, 2008; they were married almost five years but had been together for the last fourteen years. Salvador worked as an industrial design drafter for Rain for Rent for ten years. He enjoyed quad riding, dove hunting, doing things with his hands, and spending time with his family. Salvador is survived by his wife, Lupe Calderon, daughter Kayla, parents Emelina and Salvador Hernandez, brothers Julian and Gabriel Hernandez, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Salvador is preceded in death by Maria and Javier Zuniga. The family of Salvador Hernandez wishes to thank everyone for all of their support they have shown them during this difficult time.
