RUFINO RIVAS LUGO (1942-2007) Rufino Rivas Lugo, 64, born July 10, 1942 was a loved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Rufino went to be with our Lord April 7, 2007. Rufino was born in Wasco, Ca to Tomas and Cenovia Lugo. Rufino had four brothers and two sisters. He attended St. Johns Elementary School & graduated from Wasco Union High School with the Class in 1961. Rufino was married to Beatrice Valenzuela Lugo August 6, 1966 in Delano, California. Rufino and Beatrice built their lives in Wasco where they were proud members of the community from 1966 until the present day. Rufino is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Beatrice Lugo; children, Jacqueline Hardy and husband Jason and Vanessa Lugo; grandchildren Jeffrey, Jordan and Jessica Hardy; brothers and sisters: Bessie and Eddie Gallardo, Frank and Sally Lugo, Jean and Gilbert Flores, Tom and Joanna Lugo and his loving sisters-in-law, Ingie Lugo and Julia Lugo; plus many more nephews and nieces that loved and adored Uncle Rufino. He is preceded in death by his parents; Tomas and Cenovia (Rivas) Lugo; brothers: Tony and Inez Lugo. Our family looks forward to sharing with you in the celebration of Rufino's life. Visitation under the care of Peters Funeral Home in Wasco was held Wednesday April 11, 2007 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm Funeral services was held at Westside Family Fellowship in Wasco, Thursday April 12, 2007 10:00am followed by a graveside ceremony at Shafter Cemetery. Praise God!!! Although his life will be missed, Rufino is more alive today in Heaven, than all the precious years he spent here on earth.
