Ruby Neal Painter July 18, 1952 – September 1, 2008 Ruby Neal Painter was born July 18, 1952 to Zelma Lee (Bridge) and Albert Lee Brisher in Missouri. Mary was a laborer for various local agriculture companies; she loved her family and enjoyed taking her walks as often as possible. She had a compassion for singing in church and she always had a bag of marbles and challenged anyone that visited her at home. Ruby is survived by her daughters; Charlene Brisher and husband Gilbert of Shafter, Donna Painter of Shafter and special almost daughter Tia Nichols and husband Mike of Wasco; brothers, Bailey Brisher of Taft and Ellis Brisher and wife Nancy of Arkansas; sisters Sue Phelps of Shafter and Helen Ferguson and husband Mike of San Diego; grandchildren Gilbert Jr., Angel, Frankie, Shyanna, Jessica, Shane and Blake, she never had a chance to meet her first unborn great-grand child. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents Zelma and Albert Brisher; brother Vernon Brisher and sisters, Pauline, Viola and Shirley. A memorial service officiated by Pastor Seymour of Jesus Saves of Shafter, under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 10:00am at our chapel for Ruby Neal Painter, age 56, of Shafter who passed away September 1, 2008 in Camarillo CA.
