Ruben Zamora was born September 17, 1961 to Elvira (Cardenas) and Manuel Zamora in Sinaloa, Mexico. He first came to Coachella in 1996, then moved to Shafter in 1998. He was employed with various agriculture farms and contractors in the area. He was survived by his 12 siblings: brothers; Hilario Escalante and wife Sylvia of Shafter, Armando Zamora, Bernardo Zamora and wife Vidal of Mazatlan, Rigobeto Zamora and wife Irma of Shafter, Lucio Zamora of Ensenada, Luis Martin Zamora and wife Olvia of Mazatlan, Manuel Zamora of Mexicali, sisters; Carmela Escalante of Indio, Olivia Silva and husband Armando of Mazatlan, Elizabeth Palomo and husband Victor of Delano, Alicia Zamora of Mazatlan and Adela Zamora of Wasco. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Elvira Zamora in 2005 and Manuel Zamora in 2006. Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 06, 2008 from 2-8 pm for Ruben Zamora, age 47, of Shafter who passed away October 2, 2008 in Bakersfield, rosary will commence at 6pm.
