Ruben Hernandez was born in Holtville, Ca, to Juan and Corina Hernandez. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ruben married Blanca Guerra-Martinez on February 8, 2000. He was employed by Jackson and Perkins in rose production for 30 years. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Corina. He is survived by his wife, Blanca; step-sons, Pio Ortiz of Avenal, Ervey, Eden and Abel Martinez all of Shafter; step-daughter, Marbelit Martinez of Bakersfield; brothers, Robert of Shafter and John of Bakersfield; sisters, Margarita Hernandez of Dinuba, Alicia Garcia of Watsonville and Caroline Acosta of Shafter; two grandchildren, Melanie Ortiz and Evan Martinez; and many other family members.
