Roxie Lorene Craig was born March 31, 1945 in Bakersfield, California to Gracie and Leon Laughlin. She was a life-long resident of Wasco and graduated from Wasco Union High School with the Class of 1963. Roxie married her high school sweetheart, Benny Craig September 21, 1963 and they were blessed with the birth of 2 sons; Benny, Jr. and Douglas. Roxie and Benny were the owners of Wingate Realty for 30 years and they retired in 2009. Roxie and Benny were charter members of Wasco's O.F.C.C., (Old Fart's Car Club). She participated in girls fast pitch and slow pitch softball; shooting pool, and golfing. She also had a heart for local charities including the Rescue Mission and the Homeless Shelter. Roxie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Benny; son, Douglas Craig and wife Missy; 3 grandchildren, Karly, Zachary and Tatum; brother, Doug Laughlin; and sister, Darlene Beaver. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lonnie Laughlin; and her son, Benny, Jr. A remembrance will be held for Roxie on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 12noon at the Wasco/Shafter Elks Lodge, Hwy 43 and Wasco Avenue
