IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosario Ruelas
De Ramirez
November 6, 1920 – May 1, 2015
Rosario Ruelas de Ramirez was born November 6, 1920 to Guadalupe and Cirilo Ruelas in Ayotitlan, Jalisco, Mexico. She and Alfredo Ramirez were married in Mexico and the family moved to Wasco in 1972. Upon her arrival in Wasco, Rosario worked as a farm worker for Superior Farms until her retirement. Rosario enjoyed tending to her garden, preparing meals for her family and friends, watching telenovelas, and hosting countless family gatherings. She was a very social person that deeply enjoyed the company of her family and friends. It would have been difficult to visit Rosario's home without her offering a hearty meal or a "tazita de café." Rosario was a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Rosario is survived by her husband, Alfredo Ramirez; sons, Salvador, Arturo, Jose, Arturo, Carlos and Pedro; daughters, Amelia Ruiz and Elvira Saavedra; 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 children. Holy Rosary will be recited Tuesday, May 5 at 6pm at St. John's Church for Rosario Ruelas de Ramirez, age 94, who passed away May 1, 2015 in Bakersfield. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 6 at 10am followed by interment at Wasco Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 5 at Peters Funeral Home prior to the Rosary from 2pm to 5pm.
