A viewing will be held on Friday, November 17, from 4pm to 8 pm at Arvin Church of The Nazarene. A funeral service will tske place Saturday, November 18, at 12:00 pm at Arvin Church of The Nazarene for Rosa Palacios Sanchez, age 75, of Arvin who passed away November 13, 2006, in Arvin. Esteban Zamarron will officiat with interment following at South Kern Cemetery District. Rosa Palacios Sanchez was born September 6, 1931 in Oaxaca, Mexico to Atilano and Casiana Sanchez. Rosa married on April 22, 1950 to Enrique Sanchez, Jr. She came to Arvin in 1973 were she worked in agriculture until she retired in 1995. Rosa was a member of the First Baptist Church in Arvin for 30 years. She was a generous woman who loved having people over and enjoyed cooking for everyone. She enjoyed the outdoors, plants, flowers, and walking her Chihuahua Spike. Rosa was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Rosa is survived by her husband, Enrique Sanchez; her sons, Enrique and Patricia Sanchez, Joe and wife Veronica Sanchez; her daughter, Ana and husband Reyes Morales; her brother, Ramon Palacios Sanchez; her grandchildren Eric, Enrique III, Rene, Rosario, Jose Matthew, Brian, Rosa Isabel, Reyes III, Daniel, Breanna and Marissa.
