Born in Los Angeles on Nov. 11, 1950, Dr. Ronald Edward Green, D.D.S., died Dec. 15, 2008, in Big Bear. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sharon, son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Candace, granddaughter Kylee, stepson William, mother Lynn, twin brother Richard and wife Rosemarie, as well as a nephew and niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold. Dr. Green, known as Ron, was raised in Woodland Hills, where he graduated Taft High School. He went on to become an alumni of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in economics and a doctoral in dentistry. He maintained a prominent dental practice in the high desert area since the late 1970s, with offices in both Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley. Dr. Green will be remembered by those close to him for his generosity, good-natured spirit and quick wit. He was a talented guitar player and a great lover and supporter of animals. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Best Friends Animal Society at 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84714.
