Obituary

Rogelio Roy Olivo was born in Phoenix, Arizona on June 26, 1961 to parents Guadalupe Olivo and Dionicia Alaniz. Roy proudly served his country as a Marine and was stationed in Hawaii during his tenure. Roy spent many years working at Wasco State Prison, where he retired from. After retirement; he worked at the local True Value, where he enjoyed interacting with customers who became friends. Roy was a loving person with an outgoing personality and great sense of humor. His loud and contagious laugh resonated everywhere he went, leaving a lasting impression on those around him. Roy was best known for getting on stage and singing karaoke. Some of his favorite songs were "Pretty Woman" and "Only the Lonely." Roy entered eternal rest at his home on September 3, 2020. Rogelio is survived by his son, Edward Lindry Olivo; brothers, Rito Joe Olivo, Reynaldo Olivo, Richard Olivo, Rene Olivo; sisters, Imelda Hernandez, Maria Bertha Arreola, Gloria Olivo, Blanca E. Olivo, Rosa Linda Candray; granddaughter, Winter I. Ross- Olivo. Rogelio is preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe Olivo and Dionicia Olivo; sisters, Enriqueta Leon, Oralia Garza, Martha Guajardo; brother, Guadalupe Olivo.
