Rodrigo Lopez was born on March 13, 1956 in Austin, TX, to parents Ysabel and Maria Lopez. His family moved to Wasco, CA when Rodrigo was a young boy and he attended local schools. On February 4, 1976 he married Maria (Florez) Lopez in Wasco, where the couple remained as their family grew. Rodrigo worked his entire career in the hay business; he enjoyed his work and those he worked with, even considering his fellow employees family. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people smile; he was a jokester. Rodrigo was a die-hard Rams fan. Another passion of his was barbecuing, it was hard to find better barbecue than his. Rodrigo was a generous and forgiving man, and he was a devoted husband and loving father. He especially enjoyed his time spent with his grandchildren, going on trips to the beach or just giving tractor rides when he could. Rodrigo was dearly loved and will be missed greatly. Rodrigo is preceded in death by his parents, Ysabel and Maria Lopez; and his father-in-law Pablo Florez. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria; his son, Rigo and wife Dolores Lopez; daughters, Margie Lopez, Vicki Lopez and Gilbert, Becky Lopez, and Dora Lopez; his brothers, Albert and wife Jenny Lopez, Rito and wife Isabel Lopez, and Tom and wife Monica Lopez; sisters, Sylvia and husband Lupe Vasquez, Michelle Lopez, Cruz Florez, and Sandy and husband Henry Garcia; his 12 grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Florentina Florez; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Rodrigo Lopez was held at Peters Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 2-8pm, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John's Catholic Church on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 10am. Father John Fluetch was the officiant and interment followed at Wasco Memorial Park.
