Rodrigo Gonzalez was born December 7, 1948 in Miguel Aleman, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Maria Del Jesus (Lopez) and Rodrigo Gonzalez, one of 8 children. He grew up in Elsa, Texas graduating from the local elementary and high school. He went on to graduate from ATM Vocational School in heavy equipment repair and maintenance. Rodrigo served our country during the Vietnam Era in the Army National Guard. Rodrigo and his family were migrant workers and traveled from Texas to California each year to work. He finally settled in Wasco in 1968 and married Rachael Romo September 23, 1972. Rodrigo was preceded in death by his father, Rodrigo Sr.; and 2 brothers, Rodrigo and Mario. Rodrigo is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rachael; sons, Mark Anthony and wife Elizabeth of Bakersfield and Michael and wife Veronica of Shafter; daughter, Denise and husband Brian Flores of Wasco; brothers, Ruben and wife Ofelia, Raudel and wife Oralia, all of Shafter, Rolando and wife Wanda of Hayward; sisters, Elizabeth Gonzalez and Elvia Brown and husband Stacy, all of Hayward; 8 grandchildren and many other loving family members. Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 7pm at St. John's Church for Rodrigo Lopez Gonzalez, age 61, of Wasco who passed away November 28, 2010 in Bakersfield. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 2, at 10am at St. John's Church. Fr. John Flutsche will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1, from 2pm to 6pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco.
