Obituary

Rodney Streiff, “Rod”, passed away 4/28/26 peacefully with his family around him. He was preceded by his wife of 50 years Betty and survived by his daughters Lori and Lindsay, Grandsons Kadin, Tristan and Quinn, his brother Kevin (Jayne) and sister Jolene.

He’s a graduate of Wasco High School where he was a football and wrestling star. He went to Porterville College and played football there as well. He went on to be a logger in Washington State and came back to Wasco to work at Semitropic Water District until he moved his family to Bakersfield and became a car salesman, starting at Jeep and finally retiring from Jim Burke Ford.

If you ever bought a car from my Dad you heard the line “sign right here. You are signing that you are buying a used car from a used car salesman and we lie.” He was hilarious. Probably why he had so many loyal customers.

There’s a lot to say about my Dad. He was a major jokester, a hard worker and great Dad. He will be very missed, but will we always have his jokes and “Rod-isms”. I’m sure he’s already annoying Mom and making old friends laugh, playing Golf and I sure hope he meets John Wayne.

We love you Dad….And yes “We love you more!”
